Good news! The new trucks equipped with automatic arms are now circulating on the roads of the Acadian Peninsula.
Household waste collection takes place on Tuesdays. It alternates with the collection of recyclable materials (blue bin).
If waste is not collected during public holidays, it will be collected the following working day.
For more information, please visit the Acadian Peninsula Regional Service Commission website.
The Town of Caraquet wants to eliminate the problem of illegal dumping in wooded areas. It also wants to allow residents to dispose of bulky materials locally and immediately, without having to wait for regular collection.
This service is strictly reserved for the use of citizens for waste generated in the context of domestic and non-profit activities.
Contractors undertaking renovation work must rent containers provided for this purpose or transport their waste to the Tracadie Waste Treatment Centre.
Please follow the instructions posted at the entrance.
This center is the official drop-off point. In addition to standard bottles and cans, they generally accept a wide variety of glass containers (Mason jars, homemade wine bottles, etc.). You can check the Recyclage Caraquet Inc. Facebook page for their exact opening hours.
