Caraquet, a port town, was once renowned for its strength in the maritime sector. It has since branched out and made a name for itself in a number of areas. It continues to shine in the maritime sector, of course.
Caraquet, a vibrant town, believes that to succeed in building a strong and thriving economy, stakeholders across the region have to work together from a solid foundation. To that end, in 2004, Caraquet adopted an economic development policy and at the same time established its own economic commission, helping it to achieve its development goals.
Caraquet’s industrial park—rated “A” by the Province of New Brunswick—provides attractive benefits to businesses wishing to locate there, in addition to a readily available and skilled workforce.
Caraquet is located on the shores of Caraquet Bay, with a breathtaking view of Chaleur Bay. The area is also home to excellent restaurants and entertainment venues that other regions can only envy. The quality of life in Caraquet is exceptional all year round, and we are certain that these factors are why people who work in area businesses are delighted to live here and want to stay here.
